Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, board-review bootcamps, 1:1 tutoring, question bank, and content library (together, the "Services") provided by StudyRare LLC ("StudyRare," "we," "us"). By creating an account, purchasing a product, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

Who we are and what we offer

StudyRare provides educational board-preparation resources for genetic counselors (ABGC) and clinical and laboratory geneticists (ABMGG), including live and recorded bootcamps, a question bank, a study-content library, a newsletter, and optional 1:1 tutoring. The Services are for educational purposes only and do not guarantee any exam result.

Not affiliated with credentialing bodies

StudyRare is an independent educational provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC), the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG), the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC), the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG), or any other credentialing or accrediting organization. Any references to these organizations or their exams are for descriptive purposes only.

Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Do not share your account or paid access with others.

Payment and billing

Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details. By purchasing, you authorize the applicable charge. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.

Refunds

Purchases of digital products (bootcamps, courses, and question-bank access) are final and non-refundable. Unused tutoring credits may be refundable as described in our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

Tutoring

Tutoring sessions are booked using tutoring credits and are subject to tutor availability. Scheduling, cancellation, no-show, and completion rules are shown in the tutoring dashboard at the time of booking. Tutors are independent instructors; StudyRare facilitates scheduling and payment but is not a party to the educational advice provided in a session.

Acceptable use

• Do not copy, redistribute, resell, publicly post, or share our questions, recordings, slides, or written content.
• Do not attempt to access accounts, data, or paid content you are not entitled to, or to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Services.
• Do not use the Services to violate any law or the academic-integrity or test-security policies of any credentialing body.

Intellectual property

All content in the Services, including questions, explanations, recordings, slides, and written material, is owned by StudyRare or its licensors and is provided for your individual study only. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to access the content you have purchased for your personal, non-commercial use. All other rights are reserved.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. StudyRare content is educational and is not medical, legal, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for clinical judgment. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free or that using them will result in passing any exam.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudyRare and its instructors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to StudyRare for the product giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for a violation of these Terms, including sharing paid access or redistributing content. You may stop using the Services at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
